Well, I think it's his head.
I found this web in the garden after the heavy rain the night before last. Isn't it beautiful?
The spider looks a lot larger than most I've seen in the garden. But he is quite an attractive little chap close up. Unless you are a fly, of course.

That is such an apt description! I always love seeing webs but this one caught my attention because it had been done during the night, despite the weather, and was a work of art.

Thank you, Tom - that's nice to hear! Though I think it is a testimony to my new camera rather than my photographic skills - the photos seem much sharper than my old one! Still, one day ...
